Try These 3 No-Cook Breakfast Treats For A Fuss-Free Morning!

Are your mornings usually hectic and stressful that you end up skipping breakfast? Let’s put a stop to that especially when overnight oats exist! Before going to bed, soak the ingredients in milk or yoghurt and put it in the fridge overnight. The soaking time will allow the liquid to soften the oats, eliminating the need to cook or having to get up at the crack of dawn! You can even choose to eat this while stuck in traffic or after a workout. Here are 3 no-cook breakfast recipes packed with fiber and proteins!

1 | Strawberry Banana

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup rolled oats

1/3 cup instant oatmeal

2 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp flax seeds

1 tbsp agave syrup

1 cup fresh milk

1/2 cup strawberry yoghurt

1 banana, sliced

1/2 cup fresh strawberries, halved

PROCEDURE

  • Layer the jar with rolled oats and instant oatmeal
  • Increase the nutritional value of your oatmeal by adding chia and/or flax seeds
  • Add the sliced strawberries and bananas
  • Your layers should look similar to this
  • Pour in the strawberry yoghurt
  • Then add agave syrup
  • Add fresh milk
  • Once all the ingredients are inside, thoroughly shake then refrigerate overnight. To serve the breakfast-in-a-jar, top each serving with fresh fruits.

2 | Mango Almond

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup quick cooking oats

1/3 cup rolled oats

1/3 cup mango yoghurt

1 cup almond milk

2 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp flax seeds

2 tbsp agave syrup

3 tbsp flaked almonds

4 tbsp graham crackers crumbs

1 mango

PROCEDURE

  • Mix dry ingredients in a medium-sized bowl (oatmeal, rolled oats, chia seeds, flax seeds and almond flakes)
  • Pour almond milk and mango yoghurt into the mix
  • Next, add agave syrup
  • Throw in sliced mangoes and mix well
  • When it’s time to place everything in a container, the graham crackers should be the first layer
  • Lastly, carefully pour the oatmeal mixture into the jars. Cover the jars, and chill in the refrigerator overnight

3 | Matcha Vanilla

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup oatmeal

1/3 cup rolled oats

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp flax seeds

1 tsp matcha tea powder

1 cup regular milk

1 tbsp agave syrup

1 tbsp white chocolates

Sliced peaches

PROCEDURE

  • Mix dry ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl (rolled oats, oatmeal, chia seeds, matcha powder, flax seeds, and white chocolates)
  • Add milk
  • Next, add the agave syrup then stir everything together
  • Layer the jar with sliced peaches
  • Then pour in the mixture and place in the fridge overnight
