Calling All Bike, Furniture, And Coffee Enthusiasts! Check Out This Newly Opened Hybrid Store In QC!
Have you ever heard of a hybrid store? It’s a fast-growing retail trend today where brands explore different ways to make the most out of their spaces. If you’re a bike aficionado, a coffee lover, a design enthusiast—or all three combined—Industry Standard Manila is perfectly for you!
Industry Standard is a hidden gem tucked in Industria, a lifestyle compound located at Circulo Verde, Quezon City. It’s a hybrid store that features three main concepts: a furniture store, a bike shop, and a cafe!
The store officially opened its doors to public on June 13. While on soft opening, Industry Standard already served as a photoshoot venue and has accommodated several fashion shoots and film tapings inside!
Industry Standard is a curation of all the things its owner is fond of. “Whatever I like, I brought in the space. The only thing missing are vinyls!” Mark, the owner shares. He also handpicked all the bikes and furniture pieces available for purchase in store.
The Crafstman Bikes for sale at Industry Standard are available in different styles and colors. They go for about P120k each, but boast of a 38cc two stroke engine and a 2.5 liter gas tank. The bikes come with tire pump and leather pouch with extra oil and tools—and can be used as a regular bike!
The furniture products are sourced from abroad, mostly from neighboring Asian countries like Singapore, China, and Taiwan. A lot of the pieces are masculine and industrial in style which shows off the owner’s personality and character. But what’s more delighting about the pieces is they are multi-functional! The benches transform into a desk, while some of the tables double as storage!
The spacious shop was designed by architect Edwin Uy, which features a very raw and industrial look with bare walls, steel pipings, and cement flooring. The entire floor is accessorized by furniture products and bikes. To highlight the pieces, Edwin created steel installations that house them under.
On the right side of Industry Standard is the cafe that features an open layout and numerous seatings. It’s a quiet and ambient place to chill out, study, or hold group meetings at. But Industry Standard does not stop there. The shop also has a mezzanine that’s currently a space for the stocks of the furniture pieces. But in the future, the team is planning to turn it into a creative space for workshops or a small theater for indie films.
Also available in store are bags, cups, and trinkets from local brands such as The School of Satchel, Proppy PH, Yardstick Coffee, American Eagle PH, and Frank Green Philippines. It really indeed is anything but ordinary!
